Management of Extensive Cyclodialysis Clefts

Ping Huang, MD, PhD, presents a case of a 56-year-old man who was referred for persistent hypotony 6 months after scleral-fixated IOL implantation with pars plana vitrectomy. Ultrasound biomicroscopy showed cyclodialysis clefts in the superior, nasal, and inferior quadrants. Dr. Huang demonstrates a technique for the insertion of a capsular tension ring sutured to the sclera. She also performs an ab externo and ab interno procedure to manage the remaining clefts.
