Dense Cataract in Pseudoexfoliation Syndrome

Marisa Schoen, MD, presents a case of dense cataract with pseudoexfoliation syndrome. The patient presented with an inferiorly subluxated mature brunescent cataract with significant phacodonesis. Dr. Shoen demonstrates her surgical approach to cataract extraction and IOL implantation with the use of a capsular tension ring and iris hook to stabilize the capsular bag during capsulorhexis.
