Show Description +
Brandon Ayres, MD, discusses the case of a middle-aged woman who presented for cataract surgery in her right eye. The patient had previously undergone cataract surgery in the left eye, which was complicated by pseudoexfoliation and a dislocated lens. Dr. Ayres comments on strategies for achieving adequate pupil dilation and creating a capsulorhexis in the setting of pseudoexfoliation. After encountering zonular dehiscence, Dr. Ayres shares his thought process for determining when to implant the capsular tension ring.
