Show Description +

Brenton D. Finklea, MD, presents a technique for corneal neurotization in a complex case of neurotrophic keratitis. The patient presented with a nonhealing neurotrophic epithelial defect lasting several months despite multiple therapies. The corneal neurotization procedure provided an opportunity to reinnervate the cornea with healthy nerves and set the patient up for success with a future corneal transplant to restore vision.
