In this video we describe the case of a patient with acute angle closure due to a hypermature cataract and secondary phacolytic glaucoma, for whom we performed cataract extraction by phacoemulsification. We describe the technique, highlighting the precautions that the surgeon needs to take during the procedure and we share some tips and tricks for a successful surgery in such a difficult case.
