Optimizing Existing Tube Shunt in Uveitic Glaucoma

Show Description +

Glaucoma Case Files begins a new season, filmed at the John A. Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah. New hosts Rachel G. Simpson, MD, and Roya Garakani, DO, kick off the new season with a case of a patient with uveitic glaucoma and a history of tube shunt implantation who presented with elevated IOP. The patient was not tolerating any topical medications and was opposed to the placement of a second tube shunt. Dr. Simpson reviews her approach to the case in which she optimized the patient’s existing tube shunt through flushing with balanced salt solution.
