This patient experienced blunt trauma more than a decade ago, resulting in mydriasis. Jason Jones, MD, removes the traumatic cataract, places a capsular tension ring with a manual insertion technique and then inserts a single-piece acrylic IOL. He reconstructs the pupil using a modified Siepser sliding knot technique, which resulted in excellent cosmetic and functional anatomy.
