Years after corneal transplant, this patient developed extensive melting resistant to all proteolytic agents, such as oral doxycycline, topical progesterone, topical steroids and anti-virals. A. John Kanellopoulos, MD, presents the surgical management of this case of severe external disease where he utilized a traditional Gunderson conjunctival flap and later PK and Ahmed valve.
