A 32-year-old female patient presents with tractional retinal detachment secondary to diabetes and poor compliance. Her first surgery was LIO (laser treatment with panophthalmoscope) and intravitreal Avastin. The second surgery, shown here, was a lens sparing 27G vitrectomy.

Beautiful surgery! Thanks for posting this. One question: when using the Charles flute needle, do you ever apply active suction, or is the whole case done with passive aspiration?
