Laser Floater Treatment with Coaxial Illumination

Show Description +

Here, I. Paul Singh, MD, demonstrates the new Illumination tower in the Ellex Reflex YAG laser systems that allows for true coaxial illumination when performing YAG vitreolysis or Laser Floater Treatment. The Reflex system allows for titration of the coaxial illumination to provide the proper visualization of the floater from anterior to posterior vitreous and provide spatial context in order to ensure no other structures are damaged with the plasma cone when firing the laser.

No doubt we have several patients complaints about floaters in our daily routine and this procedure seems to be an elegant one . It is crutial to find an optimal focalization in order to avoid hitting other structures sucha as retina or the lens. That was vey well demonstrated in this video.
