A 25-year-old male patient is left with aphakia and partial aniridia after an explosive trauma. Ulrich Spandau demonstrates the fixation of a MA60AC IOL from Alcon onto a foldable iris prosthesis from HumanOptics. Then the combined IOL and iris prosthesis are inserted with a regular injector and sclerally fixated.

Thanks for your good presentation. I want to learn why didnt you trepane the prosthesis iris to protect from glaucoma.
