A 49-year-old man presented with cataracts 15 years after receiving a Verisyse phakic IOL (Johnson & Johnson Vision) in each eye. Laser cataract surgery was performed in an effort to minimize endothelial cell loss, and the phakic IOL was disenclavated and explanted. A three-piece SofPort lens (Bausch + Lomb) was implanted.

you mention that you maintained the AC, but i would suggest it looked like the opposite- i even notice iris prolapse- most likely due to using the main incision. i typically do bimanual through the para, which likely would have avoided this. also, cutting the lens in half could have avoided the larger incision. thanks for posting
