A clean, polished capsule can reduce capsule fibrosis and phimosis and makes IOL removal easier if an exchange is needed. Jared R. Younger, MD, demonstrates his capsule polishing with a new instrument called the Younger 360° Capsule Polisher which is designed to polish the anterior capsular rim for 360° in one continuous motion. It can also liberate strands of cortical material on the posterior capsule.
