Triple Procedure - Scleral Buckle, Phacoemulsification with IOL and Vitrectomy For Failed Diabetic Tractional Retinal Detachment

Show Description +

A 57-year-old diabetic was referred for a tractional retinal detachment after a failed vitrectomy. Her vision was light perception with faulty projection. The IOP was 42 with rubeosis and small pupil. Due to the previous failed vitrectomy and a dense cataract a decision was made to perform scleral buckle, phacoemulsification with IOL implantation, and vitrectomy. Rohit Adyanthaya, MD, presents a video of the surgical management.
For detailed information on the technique for performing combined phacovitrectomies, please refer to our article in the October 2014 issue of Retina Today.
