The Evolution of IOL Fixation Part II: Medium Incision

A 23G vitrectomy is performed with trans-scleral IOL fixation for an aphakic patient who suffered prior penetrating ocular trauma. He previously underwent primary repair and lensectomy. The video shows the elegant scleral fixation of a foldable Akreos lens using V8 GORE-TEX suture. Patient's vision improved from 20/500 to 20/60 one week after surgery.
