Subluxated Cataract in a Marfan Patient

Show Description +

This is a case of a subluxated cataract in patient with Marfan syndrome. We use iris hooks to stabilize the capsule during capsulorhexis and all subsequent steps. Before we inject the single-piece acrylic IOL in the bag we will fixate the bag to the sclera using a Cionni CTR through a Hoffman pocket. The IOL is well centered in the bag at the end of the procedure.

very good surgery. Is there any subluxation of IOL in follow up period?
