in my experience for separation of nucleus segments, if you apply equal pressure for both sides, you should not fear for zonular stress, even for very weak zonules. there is a wide safe zone

while separating two segments of nucleus during vertical chop, is there any limit for separation? you separated them too much..doesn't it stress the zoules?

Brilliant. Now the IOL and CTR can never dislocate. Thanks for the explanation.

Never say never. Likely more stable but time will inform us if this is better. Thank you for your interest.

The 3pc IOL had the optic captured in the CCC. This effectively stabilizes the capsular bag/CTR/IOL complex by permitting the haptics to contact the ciliary body. Note the lack of pseudophacodonesis.

After having successfully placed the CTR in the capsular bag, why did you place the IOL in the sulcus rather than the bag?
