I am having a hard time ordering the 9.0 proline suture. I am told it is special order and takes 2mns and is around ~$1500 for 3. Can you give me any additional info?

I hear your concerns but we have not seen it yet fortunately...my suspicion is that the smooth surface of the intact capsule protects against this potential complication.

Great job Dr. Prenner! But I wonder if the IOL/bag complex would tilt or rub against the back of iris and cause some side effets?

Thanks for the generous comment but the procedure is actually pretty simple to perform...much less technical than ILM peeling etc... I think the advantage here is that you don't have to open the conjunctiva, which is potentially advantageous in eyes that may have or may need filtering surgery. ACIOL or iris claw lenses certainly work well, but this is a bit less invasive.

Amazing show of skill Dr. Prenner, but it seems overly complicated. Don't you think to explant the IOL/bag complex and put in an iris claw or AC IOL would ultimately give us the same result?
