Efficient removal of the nucleus is essential to minimizing corneal edema and delivering excellent early visual outcomes. To segment the nucleus, I prefer to use a horizontal phaco chop technique. This technique provides me the ability to break up and to remove the nucleus efficiently with minimal phaco energy.

Great technique of safe, solid, efficient phaco. Will work perfectly every time. Thanks Daniel. Larry Frank, MD
