Retinal Vein Occlusions are second only to Diabetic Retinopathy as the most common retinal vascular disease. Indifferent to ethnic or racial groups, treatment of this disease continues to be complicated. While intravitreal injections of Bevacizumab has gained popularity in the treatment of these venous occlusive diseases, long term Bevacizumab failures can and do occur. The following video presentation by Stefan Dithmar, et, al of the University of Heidelberg “Navigated Grid Laser Treatment after Bevacizumab Failure in BRVO” documents a novel rescue in these cases using Navilas both stabilising vision and reducing Macular Edema measured by OCT.

Congratulations and thanks for sharing the novice technique. Focal laser for Central serous Retinopathy would also be benefited by this navigating laser. At present we have to take patient back to FFA camera for reconfirmation of laser placement. regards
