Grade 3 Cataract With Astigmatism

Show Description +

This case is of a healthy eye with a moderately dense (grade 3) nuclear cataract and 0.75 D of pre-existing against-the-rule corneal astigmatism. The patient requested a multifocal IOL. The INFINITI Vision System's fluidics to draw nuclear fragments to the phaco tip and the second instrument is wielded to corral fragments to the tip as necessary. Dr. David Lubeck's interprets the OZil IP's activation to mean that more torsional ultrasound is needed to emulsify the dense nucleus efficiently.
