IOL Repositioning With Scleral Fixation

Show Description +

This is a case of a patient who had blunt ocular trauma that resulted in superonasal IOL displacement. The patient was visually symptomatic with 20/80 vision. Two-point scleral fixation of the IOL was done by dividing into horizontal and vertical components. 10-0 Prolene sutures were passed at two points around the haptic and retrieved through the sclera with a 27g needle correcting horizontal position first and then the vertical, creating precise centration.
