Hudson Nakamura, MD, demonstrates an inverted ILM flap for a traumatic macular hole in which perfluorocarbon liquid is applied to weigh on the retina with a three-fold purpose: To attach the retina, to avoid ILM from egressing from the hole, and to stabilize the peel action and avoid the retinal slippage during the exchange for silicone oil.
