Incidence Of Retinal Detachment, Macular Edema and Ocular Hypertension Following Nd:Yag Capsulotomy: A Population-Based Nation-Wide Study – The Freyag2 Study

Show Description +

Prof. Corinne Dot, MD, PhD, FEBO, reports findings from an observational study on adverse events following Nd:YAG laser capsulotomy for posterior capsule opacification. The study highlights that most events occurred within the first few months, with ocular hypertension and macular edema being the most common. Risk was higher in patients with diabetes and in those who underwent the procedure soon after cataract surgery.
