Illuminated Chopper for Phacoemulsification in PDR

Show Description +

Juan Yepez, MD, presents a challenging cataract procedure in patient with cataract and PDR, NVG where the red reflex is absent and the visualization is very poor. Dr. Yepez places a 23G endoillumination fiber optic through the paracentesis to enhance the texture and three dimensional quality of the lens. This approach allows cortical material and posterior capsule to be seen as never seen before.
