Michael Patterson, DO, presents the case of a patient whom had cataract surgery as a child and was left aphakic due to a litany of reasons in her home country. Although the patient's vision was surprising good with aphakic spectacles, she wanted to improve uncorrected vision. Here, Dr. Patterson shows scleral fixation of an Akreos IOL (Bausch + Lomb) using gortex sutures.
