During this routine cataract surgery, a complication occurred early in the course of surgery which impacted all subsequent steps. With some fortunate maneuvers, Jason Jones, MD, removed the nucleus and cortex successfully. A limited bimanual anterior gimbal-based vitrectomy rectified a small amount of vitreous prolapse, and a 3 piece sulcus lens centered well.
