Glued IOL Live Surgery

Show Description +

Dr. Soosan Jacob demonstrates a straightforward approach to glued IOL placement. After tunnels are made in the scleral flaps, the surgeon performs an anterior vitrectomy. As the SofPort IOL (Bausch + Lomb) is injected, Dr. Jacob grasps the leading haptic with micro-forceps. Both haptics are externalized and tucked in the tunnels. After centering the lens and cleaning the flap area, Tiseel glue seals the scleral and conjunctival flaps.
