The Glued ECR was designed by me to provide intra-operative and post-operative support for a subluxated cataract or IOL. This made possible, for the first time in the world, sutureless trans-scleral fixation of the capsular bag and its contents assisted by fibrin glue. Avoiding sutures allows long term stability and avoids all problems that are inherent with the use of sutures.
