In grt'S without PVR i usually do a Air PFCL exchange and then put oil but in case there is significant PVR then the chances of flap slippage are high with this technique and in that situation we do a direct OIL PFCL or a graded PFCL AIR OIL exchange gradually keeping a close watch on the edges with wide angle visualisation...

Great video! Thanks for sharing those challenging cases. Perfluorocarbon liquids are a real help in those situations, and you used them very effectively.

whew!! heroic! really remarkable skill. do these eyes really have useful vision though?

Yes most of them do. However the functional success is not always comparable to the anatomical success !!!! as with all retinal surgery :(
