Show Description +
This video shows some of the techniques of membrane dissection in diabetic combined retinal detachment. The subhyaloid space is entered close to the disc and the dissection is carried radially and then circumferentially, gradually separating the hyaloid from the thin retina. The fibrous tissue is removed with cutter segmentation and delamination. The vitreoschitic second membrane is identified using a needle and forceps and separated from the retina to aid dissection of the fibrous tissue.
