Combined Implantation of Carlevale FIL SSF IOL and Artificial Iris

Show Description +

This is the case of a 67-year-old patient who was aphakic with mydriasis following a posttraumatic luxation of the lens. A Carlevale scleral fixation implant is sutured to an artificial Human Optics iris before implantation combined with the forceps by a 6-mm tunneled corneal incision. The anchors of the Carlevale implant are caught by Maxgrip 25G forceps through sclerotomies made at 3 mm from the limbus under a scleral flap.
