Nice case, you can see in the aniridic patient how much rotational stress on the zonules occur with the insertion of the capsular tension ring. I tend to use a 10-0 nylon through the leading eyelet to pull it around while inserting it and just in case the ring blows the bag, I can retrieve it. Just imagine on bags that already have zonular weakness or defects. Any reason why the artificial iris was not implanted?
