Brandon Ayres, MD, shares a cataract removal and lens repositioning in a young patient with Marfans Syndrome. Dr, Ayers made an extra-large main incision in case he had to convert to a scleral-sutured IOL with pars plana lensectomy and vitrectomy. To aid the capsulorhexis step, Dr. Ayres placed two MST Capsule Retractors to center the bag. He removed the soft lens with bimanual irrigation and aspiration and then carefully placed a capsular tension ring. Finally, Dr. Ayers sutured two Morcher capsular segments in place to keep the bag centered and stable.
