Catalys Femto with Sextant Pattern

Show Description +

Using the Catalys precision femtosecond laser (Abbott Medical Optics), this case by Dr. Jared Younger, shows an easy separation of laser treated nuclear fragments in a sextant pattern. Creating 6, or even 8 nuclear segments, can be done with the Catalys laser, making the fragments more manageable and decreasing the need for additional chopping maneuvers. Also, a polishing technique that removes residual subincisional cortical debris is shown.
