Thank you Lisa for sharing this excellent video, it´s an example of a group of revolutionary techniques that avoid the dogma of "don´t proceed until you break the posterior plate". I´m aware of three techniques that share this principle but are somewhat different, in Decrease and Conquer an emphasis is taken on circumferential dissasembly, your technique perfectly illustrates endonuclear debulking until a peripheral thin shell is obtained. In Microchop we introduce third step, tangential chop, to isolate the posterior plate. I appreciate a similarity in basic principles like, slow, patience, multiple chopping elements, reduce intensity and force movements but with a distinc emphasis in different steps. Love the micro chop technique. Dr. Gomez also has an excellent video on a very similar technique on eytube.net from 2009. http://eyetube.net/video/stume/ This technique has gotten my out of potentially complicated cases with a great outcome. Thank you Lisa for sharing these great cases.
