Dr. Weinstock constructs a 1.6 mm incision using a trapezoidal diamond blade. Following hydrodissection and hydrodelineation, the cataract is chopped and phacoemulisifed bimaually. The Akreos IOL (Bausch & Lomb, Rochester, NY) is injected into the capsular bag through the microincision.
