A New Device to Explant IOLs

David Pérez Silguero, MD, shows different techniques to explant IOLs explains the downsides of those approaches. A new lens loop device designed by the author to assist with explantation of IOLs is introduced. The device securely holds the lens while it is cut with Vannas scissors. The device is easily inserted through a 2.2 paracentesis, has a very low learning curve, and doesn't require other expensive devices.
