Dr. Kaufer presents a +3 to +4 cataract case in a 75-year-old female with grade. The eye's preoperative vision was 20/200. The surgery began by making the paracentesis followed by a 2.2-mm clear corneal nasal incision. The anterior chamber was filled with VISCOAT OVD (Alcon Laboratories, Inc.) as the first part of the DuoVisc technique (Alcon Laboratories, Inc.). VISCOAT OVD stabilizes the anterior chamber and protects the endothelium during the surgery. The video shows how the IP activated and effectively prevented the material from occluding the tip.
