Hi Beltran, Thank you for compliments. BCVA in this eye 4 weeks post op was 3/60. Pt was mobile and could perform all daily activities without any help.

Thank you for your kind comment. Its ideal to use healon or viscoat. But I have used methylcellulose due to constraints. It tends to flow out of membrane but serves the purpose of achieving plane between membrane & retinal tissue.

Dear Dr.Zambrano, Thank you for your comment. Encirclage was put applied to support the vitreous base as the patient was phakic. Removal of vitrous base is usually incomplete in such patient. Encirclage reduces chances of rhegmatogenous RD at latter date. I am aware of increased possibility of anterior segment ischemia in diabetics. One has to be careful not to tighten the buckle excessively. Regards Maneesh
