I would agree superior breaks don't require this additional procedure at all

This procedure is done by just chandelier light and one incision for the Cannula . so you can do it without vitrectomy as the first case shown (superior break) . you can do it also with conjunction of vitrectomy if you need, but doing it without vitrectomy is a feasible way of creating a buckle and putting laser at the end with indirect Ophthalmoscope .

Thank you for a nice video. Do we really need to buckle the superior break, if we already removed the vitreous around the break and planning to tamponade with SiO or Gas from inside?
