It is always helpful to see how a colleague might handle an unexpected complication such as the hemorrhagic RD/choroidal in this case. By performing the gas fluid exchange utilizing the existing sclerostomies/cannulas one penetrating step and it's associated risk might be eliminated. Just something to consider as an alternative to introduction of the 26g needle.
