This 40-year-old man has had previous cataract surgery and was sent to me with a retinal detachment with retinal giant tear. Upon preoperative examination, visual acuity was reduced to hand movements and there was a superior giant retinal tear. There was posterior capsular rupture with sulcus IOL.
