Is this a second procedure? Scar seen inferonasally is a cryo or trauma scar? Why not use PFO primarily before the retinectomy to actually see if the retina does settle before decision of such a posterior retinectomy is taken? The retina does appear to be stiff, would it not be advisable to also place an encirclage?
