This video is of a male patient in the 5th decade of life who suffers from open eye trauma caused by an explosive device deserving primary corneal closure. One week later, a 23-gauge vitrectomy was performed with the use of postoperative keratoprosthesis and corneal transplantation. During the surgical procedure, a giant retinal tear was observed that required extensive retinotomy. The authors declare no conflict of interest.
