The speakers demonstrate a modified technique for implantation of the the port delivery system with ranibizumab (Susvimo, Genentech/Roche) performed without the use of pars plana vitrectomy or endolaser. To date, the speakers have performed 17 cases using this approach without complications attributable to these modifications. In their experience, the technique may reduce surgical time, intraocular manipulation, resource utilization, and cost, while maintaining favorable short-term surgical outcomes. Further cases and longer follow-up periods are needed to establish the safety and reproducibility of this approach.
