Minimal Gas Vitrectomy: Minimizing Retinal Displacement

Show Description +

This is a case of a 76-year-old pseudophakic patient with a macula-off retinal detachment. During intraoperative examination, although most of the detachment was inferior, we identified a single superior break. In order to minimize the risk of postop retinal displacement, we avoided air-fluid exchange. The single break was treated with cryopexy and a single 0.6cc 100% SF6 bubble was injected.
