Femtosecond Laser in White Cataract Case

Show Description +

In an attempt to avoid the dreaded Argentinian flag sign, Laurie Sullivan, FRANZCO, uses a Catalys femtosecond laser to make the capsulotomy in a white cataract case. Effusion of fluid from the epinucleus area in white cataract cases can block laser energy so it's especially important to confirm that the capsulotomy is free of adhesions before removing.
