This video describes a safer way to inject the dexamethasone intravitreal implant (Ozurdex, Allergan). A model was designed to visualize and measure the force of the implant exiting the injector using the fast conventional technique and a new slower technique. Clinical examples of these two techniques are illustrated as well. This video was produced by Drs. Michael Singer, Wayne Tie, Stan Conston, Julia Singer, Ron Yamamoto, Christopher Reimann, Matthew Reiley, Sepehr Bahadorani, and Michael Jansen.
