This video demonstrates a vitrectomy using 27-gauge instrumentation and the Constellation Vision System (Alcon Laboratories). On board dual pneumatic-driven technology enables ultrahigh speed cutting with duty cycle control, thus facilitating an efficient core vitrectomy with full pedal depression and safer peripheral shaving by releasing the foot pedal to allow proportional control of the aspiration for retinal detachment surgery.
